Weekdays are carefully scheduled (and sometimes overscheduled) with work, meetings and appointments. To top it off, we’re also working with schedules for our kids’ and grandkids’ games, recitals, practices and scout meetings. Our day-to-day hurried lifestyles often leave little room for mealtime and desserts, so any shortcuts we can take in the kitchen are often welcome.
Holiday desserts are often one of the most anticipated dishes, but also can be time consuming. But sitting around the table with dessert after a holiday meal can be one most enjoyable moments, so it’s understandable that most of us are reluctant to push dessert to the side.
